DR P3 | Generation Burnout

44% of Danish youth feel burned out. Since 2017, the number of young people suffering has alarmingly increased by 30%. So to spark national debate and introduce National Mental Health Day in light of rising mental health issues among Danish Youth, we launched Generation Burnout.

We created five human-sized statues made from 100 kg of candle wax and placed them in important cities of Denmark – making the problem come to life in an attention-grabbing, emotional manner, while communicating a complex issue in a simple way. Generation Burnout made an invisible issue tangible, sparked national discussion around youth burnout, and launched Denmark’s first-ever Mental Health Day.
