Psykiatrifonden | Drawing out the silence
Tegn på Sygdom gave children of parents with mental illness a voice. Eight brave kids shared their stories through drawings, anonymized, voiced by child actors, and brought to life through animation.
At ARoS, one of Denmark’s leading art museums, their drawings rose from paper to the museum walls. Installed in carefully designed rooms beside renowned works, the pieces demanded attention and compassion. What is usually hidden became visible. Visitors slowed down. Parents and children began to talk. In that space, a taboo could no longer hide, and these children were finally seen, heard, and believed.
